As part of the Volvo LIGHTS project, two Southern California fleet operators—NFI Industries and Dependable Highway Express     —will begin demonstrating the pilot Volvo VNR Electric trucks for full operations in their regional routes in late Summer 2020. To help prepare the drivers, Volvo Group conducted a hands-on orientation to demonstrate how to safely power on/off the vehicle, as well as to introduce some of the sophisticated technology to maximize efficiency, safety and uptime—including remote diagnostics, geofencing, and regenerative braking.
